Barcelona - Day 3 [Part 1]

Apologies. I totally neglected the blog for a while.. >.<" Anyways I shall continue with the rest of my time in Barcelona ^_^ Honestly, it kinda feels like a blur now lol cos it's been quite long. Eeeekk..

20/08/11
Day 3.

On our 3rd day we took a hop on/hop off bus tour that takes us all around the city.

Bus tour routes. Blue, red and green lines. We chose to do the blue and red line since they were the biggest but we didn't stop at every stop, only ones that seemed interesting.

On the way to the bus stop we came across the famous "Sagrada de Familia" which is a massive, massive, massive, huuggggeee church that is still currently building after 100+ years. I know, crazy, right?! It was only about 10-15 minutes walk from our hotel which was pretty cool. We only snapped a few pics and we already planned to go back and actually visit the place. There will be more pics of this place when I talk about the day when we went there. ^_^

The tour bus was literally just across the road from the church. Haha here's me on the top deck of the bus with "Sagrada de Familia" behind me.

We were surprisingly the only ones on the bus thinking it be so full at the beginning but more and more people started hopping on during the day.

Those bright blue headphones are the tour commentary which talks/explains about the history, buildings, facts and etc. It also had very soothing classical musical!!

Ahhh hair flying everywhere cos it was windy..

Me and my cousin

Our first stop.

The tram that took us to the very top of the hill!

I can't remember what the name of the destination was.. but it overlooked the view of Barcelona. It was beautiful!

There was also another huge church. So much detail. It's amazing. WOW

Hehe, us being silly ^_^

This was a another tram that took us back to our bus.

Next, we visited the Barcelona football stadium. It was HUGE!! The stadium holds 100,000 people. It is the biggest stadium in the whole of Europe.

Oopps sorry, I had gum in my mouth.. >.<

Barcelona football club cap!

Here are some random shots while I was on the bus.

I'm not a person that can appreciate or properly understand art and all things related but I can see how Barcelona is all about that. Wherever you go in Barcelona there's always something there that could look random and kinda strange to most people but that certain building or sculpture has a meaning and a whole story behind it. Some are really interesting and I was gobsmacked, intrigued and amazed how beautiful their architecture is.

Thanks for reading and sorry for the overload of pictures! My camera actually went out of battery during the day which sucked because we were still on the tour. So I'm going to post a part 2 in day 3 of just iphone pics! ^____^

Booo... Last photo before my battery died.. =.="
